What It Does  #

This tool connects to the PrintyBooth server, allows the user to log in with their credentials, and then provides a list of available printers. After selecting a printer and target SD card drive, the app downloads and writes the necessary configuration files directly to the SD card.

How to Use It  #

  1. Insert the SD Card
    • Use Raspberry Pi Imager or another tool to flash the downloaded image to the SD card.
    • Once complete, insert the SD card into your computer again.
  2. Run the Configurator
    • Run the PrintyBooth SD Configurator
    • Log in with your credentials. (Only First Time)
    • Choose the printer you want to configure from the list. (Manageable in Pirnters section on web UI).
    • Select the target SD card drive (e.g. D:\).
    • Click Start.
  3. What the App Does
    • Connects to the Server and downloads configuration to the given partition.
  4. Eject the SD Card
    • Safely eject the SD card.
    • Insert it into your Raspberry Pi and power it on. The configuration will be applied on first boot. (Sometimes the first boot takes a while)

Troubleshooting  #

  • „No such drive“: Double-check that the SD card is properly inserted.
  • Corrupt config: Try deleting existing files on the SD card first.
  • Nothing happens on boot: Make sure the Raspberry Pi OS version supports reading config from /boot.
