The PrintyBooth SD Configurator is a standalone Windows application that downloads a configuration package from the server and copies it directly to a prepared SD card — no image modification required.

Once downloaded, install it.
What It Does #
This tool connects to the PrintyBooth server, allows the user to log in with their credentials, and then provides a list of available printers. After selecting a printer and target SD card drive, the app downloads and writes the necessary configuration files directly to the SD card.
How to Use It #
- Insert the SD Card
- Use Raspberry Pi Imager or another tool to flash the downloaded image to the SD card.
- Once complete, insert the SD card into your computer again.
- Run the Configurator
- Run the PrintyBooth SD Configurator
- Log in with your credentials. (Only First Time)
- Choose the printer you want to configure from the list. (Manageable in Pirnters section on web UI).
- Select the target SD card drive (e.g.
D:\
). - Click Start.
- What the App Does
- Connects to the Server and downloads configuration to the given partition.
- Eject the SD Card
- Safely eject the SD card.
- Insert it into your Raspberry Pi and power it on. The configuration will be applied on first boot. (Sometimes the first boot takes a while)
Troubleshooting #
- „No such drive“: Double-check that the SD card is properly inserted.
- Corrupt config: Try deleting existing files on the SD card first.
- Nothing happens on boot: Make sure the Raspberry Pi OS version supports reading config from
/boot
.
